INTRODUCTION
Hi friends!! here again to introduce the first Madrid scenery,for FS2000. It forms part of a vast project I´m working on in building a new SPAIN GLOBAL SCENERY (C) for FS2000. Here you have the first, the most important airport in Spain, Madrid Barajas. Plus the Fuentemilanos and Casarrubios aerodromes (where took place the anual meeting of Simuvelo, the official spanish simulated aviation organization.
The new philosofy in the Microsoft scenery machine have change in a very sustancial way the way in which now scenery designers have to work. FS2000 has very accurate landmarks like the new mesh terrain all over the world. Also almost all roads an rivers are in its correct places. Afortunately now, I have not to design that peaked mountains as in the previous versions of FS nor all this rivers and roads: they are perfect in FS2000. So the only think the scenery designer must do is to improve the proper aiports areas and the sorroundings areas witht a lot of visual elements the FS2000 now lacks. There is no need to design new mountains in the old stile (this will be a rough work!!) Now, where needed, we can work on the own FS2000 Mesh Terrain system. Also I´v worked to create new own buildings using the original FS2000 buildings sistem and textures.
WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN MADRID FOR FS2000?
-No need to writte not a line in the Scenery.cfg file.
-AFD facilitie bgl file to easy find the two new aerodromes.
-New terrain Highs using the own FS2000 mesh terrain (no more piramidal peaked mountains as a false add over the terrain).
-New and own designed buildings using the original FS2000 building sistem.
-Corrected Tarmacs with the real signs (original Microsoft was wrong in the design).
-Madrid Barajas terminals as in the reality.
-Madrid Barajas buldings and hangars as in the reality.
-Downtown buldings and some tipical buildings inside.
-Up to 31 villages in the Madrid Autonomus Community with buildings you can identifie from the air, for example the "Monasterio de el Escorial" in the El Escorial village. (very important landmarks to fly VFR).
-The "Radio Nacional Pozuelo Antenna" (very important landmark to fly VFR).
-The "Bola del Mundo" instalation antenna up in the Navacerrada Highs (very important landmark to fly VFR).
-The Jarama Highs at the east of the Madrid Barajas airport, as in the reality.
-The Cerro de los Angeles Highs, (near Getafe airport).
In a few words, you will be landing in the real Madrid Barajas Airport and sorrounding area with all the sense of the true visual as you should have if you were fliying in a true airplane.
For example, you can now see at your 3 the Munoza complex if you´r landing over the 33 runway that is one of the main landmark in landings in Madrid Barajas (to maintain your planes OK).
HOW MAKE IT WORK
I have designed it with flatten polygons according to the new and wonderfull FS2000 scenery machine but....DON´T CARE.... youll will not have to writte not a line in the Scenery.cfg file. The only you have to do is:
1-Go to the main FS2000 directory and open the CACHE folder.
2-Create a new folder and name it MADRID2000
3-Open MADRID2000 folder and create two news folder: Scenery and Texture
4-Unzipp the content of the Scenery.zip and Texture.zip in the previous created Scenery and Texture folder
5-Copy the Madrid2k_afd.bgl file inside C:\Scenedb\AFDfiles\Scenery so that you can see the new two aerodromes into the AFD of FS2000
6-Go to your Fs2000 and go to World, Scenery Files, and there, click on ADD new scenery.
7-Browse to the CACHE and Madrid2000, and name it as you want.
Thats all. Go to the Sim again and you´ll see the new and accurate Madrid Autonomous Comunity for FS2000 and have pretty and happy landings in the capital of the Spain State and... of course... fly all over my sunny and wonderfull country.

Madrid2000 is a Pedro Aviles copyright and freeware design of the Madrid Barajas Airport and form part of the future SPAIN GLOBAL SCENERY for FS2000. SPAIN GLOBAL SCENERY is a copyright scenery of the whole of the Spain State for Microsoft Flighs Simulator.
You cannot include it in any digital support as CD´s o floppys without the written permision of the author.
You cannot alter any line of the original design or decompile the original bgl files without the permision of the author.
Madrid Barajas for FS2000 have been designed using Airport&Scenery Designer from Abacus and with the VOD program. Also I want to thanks a lot to Manfred Moldenhauer and his program SCASM. Without it no scenery could be made.
All of the *.pat textures are originally designed for Pedro Aviles and you cannot use it in other designs without my written permission.
